Actualities Unfortunately the jury has not been sensitive to our films presented in Antibes since we have not won any price. However we are situated in the leading bunch. This first participation to this kind of festivals has made allowed us realise that the competition was cut-throated with 120 films (58 in small format and 62 in big format) including realisations produced by 12 television channels (ABC Science, ARTE, BBC Natural History Unit, BBC Science, CANAL +, DISCOVERY Channel, FRANCE 2, FRANCE 3 Thalassa, FRANCE 3 Corse, RTP, SEASONS and TF1). Our films have been shown twice, which usually happens only with films that get an award. So we think that they have been appreciated. We also have attentively
listened to the commentaries of the different jury's members as well as
to these of the jury's President of the big format.
Would not it be judicious to ask for a better availability of the jury members and to impose a presence from Monday to Saturday, with maximum 3 hours of projection per half day ? This would allow them to form an opinion on the films in better conditions since many of the members, have often complained that they had to work 36 hours in less than 4 days. This reflection crossed our mind because it would effectively be upsetting that a film requiring hundreds hours of work, during many days, could not more be correctly estimated for a question of weariness ! A film watched after 8 or 10 hours of screening is not any longer perceived the same way than an other one, with the same quality, but watched at the beginning of the day. This remark has no relation
with our legitimated deception not to have got an award but rather try
to bring a solution to a situation which seems to create a problem to the
jury members who have difficulties evaluating the films, in addition to
all the other considerations which have to be taken in the establishment
of the winner's list.
Sales of our VHS Video Tapes It is now possible to order
video tapes of our films either from our "Productions" page, under the
"Sales" heading or also from the "Newsletter" page, in the "Gallery" headings
1 to 3 of Tignes and soon from the one 1 to 4 of Mabul and Sipadan.
